Avil Pinto 1:06
I'm doing great. It's an awesome morning. Thank you so much Deepak for initiating the Success 10X. It's a beautiful concept. I'm so excited to be with you. Yeah, for the benefit of the listeners, I would like you to introduce yourself in in brief on what you do, what who you are and why we started this podcast. Okay, thank you. Avil Pinto.People could fondly call me as the game changer. I believe in storytelling, personal branding, and life and career coaching. So that I can unlock the true potential of people. And that is a mission that I've taken on making a difference through various platforms, Dubai jobs and is one of the voluntary organization that we started, and helping job seekers, and many more yet to come. podcast is another series that we are beginning today. From my professional experience, I have diverse experience in sales, operations, HR and supply chain. So that's a brief about me. Great.
Deepak Machado 2:19
So when we started thinking about a podcast and the direction where it could take us, one of the points you pointed out was the personal growth.Yes, I believe this is a very hot topic these days. Everyone wants to have that personal growth in their life. What made you get into this journey of personal growth for yourself? Because I've seen you on public forums on different webinars, seminars, going out there putting yourself out there? Was it the thing you thought about consciously or did it happen to you?
Avil Pinto 2:59
Oh, wow, that's a very interesting question. Thank you for asking me, but I come from a farming background. My parents were coffee planters and, and I lost my dad at a very early age, when I was 13. Life looked like a broken glass. And with three siblings.I didn't know how things were. And financially, we were not strong. We literally struggling basically. And but there was one thing that was always kept me going is that, okay, grow and grow. And for me to grow, I had to, I had to build a strong foundation. And for me that strong foundation of self mastery, and that nothing. But that is nothing but it is personal growth. Personal Development is the key to anything that we do in life. Whether we talk about Jay Shetty, or Tony Robbins or Les Brown, or anyone that we see today, from Bill Gates to Oprah Winfrey, they have a very strong foundation, which is personal growth. And for me, that takes a pivotal role, so that I can build a bigger or a stronger career. So it's like today when people look at Burj Khalifa, it's the world iconic tower. What we see is the structure above the ground. But what we don't fail to recognize is how deep is the foundation. And for me, that is the element of personal growth, the foundation.
Deepak Machado 4:38
Well, so at this time, I remembered one quote from Tony Robbins because you mentioned him. So people who succeed have momentum. The more they succeed, the more they want to succeed, and the more they find a way to succeed. Thank you for reminding me about Tony Robbins, he is a very inspiring personality. So let us get into main topic today, you mentioned something about lead series. Now I know there is there are different parts to it. Why don't you start by explaining or putting your ideas forward on what we will talk today? And what what does a lead series consist of?
Avil Pinto 5:18
Absolutely, I'll be so happy to share. I have coined these three elements from my life experience and with interaction to thousands of people, I've been personally counseling a lot of jobseekers and lately also people are reaching out to me for a gavel, I want to be a storyteller, I want to do videos. So, I thought for all of this to happen, there should be these three things going in sync. The first is leading self Now, what is leading self which I covered in the personal growth element previously leading self is self mastery, it is knowing yourself identifying yourself Who are you and what are you to this world, okay, which is about purpose. And then defining your goals and habits and setting priorities, which is called time management. And then comes your identifying limiting beliefs and fears and how do you deal with emotions and how you can build great relationships, I think this is a fundamental element, which each of us must haveOkay, and this is where you build your strong foundation, I think if you do this right, then everything else will fall in place. So, once you are strong with leading self, then automatically you can build a great brand. Now that is called lead by brand. And today people are focusing a lot about branding, personal branding, employee branding, employer branding, and why do we do this is primarily because if you have all the wealth, knowledge, intelligence, but if it is not known to the world outside, if your voice is not heard or known, then you're not visible. So, for me personal brand or lead by brand is value driven visibility. If I had not to share my videos on Dubai jobs on Facebook group, people who don't have been knowing who I will mentor is or what I will Pinto could possibly do to people or how he can help people. And this is where I feel or believe is lead by brand and then finally, career lead by career. Now, if lead leading self and lead by brand works, well, then career will automatically thrive. But again, you need to identify what career to choose what profession you would like to be good at, okay or to to grow with in or Excel and two things you work together, the third one career will automatically start moving. So, these are the three things that I strongly believe each of us should look at, or probably at least invest time in understanding how it can relate to individual life. Oh, great and profound thoughts, I will thank you.
Deepak Machado 8:24
So, now getting into the meat of the topic, that is leading self I believe this is this is a topic that many people don't know that it exists. And I would like you to explain to us what leading self is in deep so then we can go on different topics within those within within leading self Yes. So can what is leading self
Avil Pinto 8:52
Okay. Now, I did mention a little brief about leading self earlier. So, what it categorizes are the elements that I have included is building your strong foundation, you want to build a house, first is you have to look at the Foundation, how deep it should be. So that how, how strong or how big the house you would like to build, how much weight it can carry. Now in our life, each of us have dreams, aspirations and goals. Now for us to meet those dreams or to achieve those dreams, then we should have the fundamental, which is the foundation. Right? And that is where leading self takes judge starting from knowing yourself identifying your purpose, and then comes your goals habits. And in order to achieve that, in order to achieve a purpose, we might have come from a background where it looks not allow us. Like, for example, I always believed that success is hard. Life is not easy. It's always been difficult. Things don't come easy to me. What if people? What if people laugh at me? What if my plans get rejected? What if my ideas get rejected. So these fears of failure fears of rejection, limiting beliefs, which always held me at some point in time. And for me, that becomes those parameters, which is like you're driving a car, you're in the driving seat, and you're unaware that a handbrake is on. And for me, recognizing those pitfalls, those limitations, those handbrakes, okay, is where you master your self self mastery. And, I believe and follow the teachings from Tony Robbins. And today he is one of the well known recognized coach around the world. Teaching transforming millions of lives, Soon I'll be attending is one of the sessions called unleash the power within. And I'm very excited about it. And this is about self mastery. Right? I'm in the process, I'm also going through that process of self mastery, because I know that there are many things that I have to discover which I have not known. So this is, for me, forms self leading by self. The book.
Deepak Machado 11:40
Yeah. So you mentioned about, you know, having a purpose, your habits, goal setting, beliefs, your relationships, your fear, all this consists of, you know, leading yourself. Now, in this particular episode, let us take one of those, and we have series of these in the upcoming episodes. And most important for me, it took a long, long time on many, many years to understand what my purpose was, Why am I on this earth? What is what is the reason I exist? The reason of being here, so I pondered, reflected, meditated for a long time. And recently, I come to know, it is self realization that I am here on this earth to help others. Okay, so whatever action I take these days is towards that, but it is not, it was not so easy for me to realize that I was always thinking, Okay, I'm here to, you know, make money or something, you know, something very tangible, but when I realized that my purpose in my life was to, you know, help others. Now, whatever action I take from that day, was towards helping somebody in their life. So my mission personally, if I have to say that my mission is to help 10,000 people, that is my simple mission, it can be in any form, you know, it can be these days, it's in the form of, you know, teaching people how to write and blog, but it can take any form. So yeah, it is my mission. So let us talk on that. And what are your thoughts? And what what is your purpose in life, I would like to know that
Avil Pinto 13:18
Great Deepak, thank you, thank you, I'm so happy to hear or listen to the way that you have come a long way. Okay, personally, that I've known you now, and having this purpose of helping 10,000 people, which is Bravo, and I wish you the best on this, and I'm sure with this initiative of podcast also will touch millions of lives and it will transform. So connecting to those dots, I also have this mission statement thing that I would like to touch at least billions of lives. Okay, billions now, how would I do it through videos, through podcasts, through through my articles and you know, the things that I'm doing on social media through coaching, and, and I'm sure the voice will be heard, because when you have the intent to transform and make a difference to people's lives, it will reach and, and when I before I started, I was wondering how would How would how to start, but before I come to that, I would like to specifically address this question on identifying the purpose which is so important. See, Mark Twain once said, there are two very important dates in people's life. Okay. One is the day you're born. The second is the day you realize why you're born. And the day when you know why you're born. You will start making a difference for yourself first. Because each of us should know why we are here. For our purpose, Almighty universe, whichever spirit or power you believe in, each of us on this planet are here for a purpose for a bigger purpose. Unfortunately, because the surroundings that are not nature and nurture that that I call it, the nature is our society, social and nurturing is our individual in our family, okay? Where we are born and our upbringing, so there are a lot of parameters that hold us, okay, which have been holding me as well. So, unleashing unlocking those wires is very important. Now, how would you How would you do that? First, This is which happened to me, which I would like to share. So there was a seminar that I was attending, because since I'm aspiring to identify myself, I just kept attending a lot of seminars on personal development, personal growth, anything that related to success or understanding the the growth mindset, I always participated, and I continue to do it. One of the speakers asked the audience at the end of your life, what would you like to be remembered for? At the end of your life, what would you like to be remembered for? That question came across as a bullet. And that day, I started introspecting reflecting on myself, what I would like to be remembered for what is I will hear for what value I want to create, is it just success with regards to money having that house or car or bank balance, or what more and that is where I felt that that I will was truly born. And then the purpose of making a difference, two people started its journey. And that is where the birth of Dubai jobs and a volunteer organization took place. And since then, it's been just about making difference to people, in whatever ways about happiness, about understanding how I can live a better life, how I can find a dream job, how I can come out of the fear of rejections failures, how I can identify the limiting beliefs that I have everything been happening. And with this, the biggest transformation has happened within myself. That is the beauty of you know, identifying your purpose. Yeah. And, and again, Deepak. It's not about having big purpose to start with, okay? I just started with the small thought that I want to make a difference one person around me, okay, I can help one person to find a job. And that person found the job, then I learned something, okay, this is the way it is done. And that first step that I took, led to hundreds then now thousands. Now this group is more than 16,000 people. And we have done more than 69 meetups attended by over 2000 find a job seekers with so many success stories, so many testimonials, which I didn't know, at that point to one the day I started. So, Mahatma Gandhi, he was not aware. To fight for freedom, he had to dedicate 40 years of his life, but the decision that it took was the day one and then it continued. And similarly, I can share so many stories I've attended personally the the Missionaries of Charity of mMother Theresa where I got at, at my inspiration from Okay, so without selfless, selfless service. And that's amazing. I mean, the purpose was simple. I mean, help the poor, help the needy, help those children who are abandoned, and give them shelter, give them food, and this is a simple thought being human. And that led to such great thing that she's built today across all over India and I think internationally. So, so purpose need not be something big. It the small thing, identify the challenge people are going through and do you see that? By resolving that challenge or a problem of people or the society around you will give you that feeling of fulfillment. For me the pain of not having a job in my life was the biggest experience. And now when I see people without a job, I relate to my pain. And this is where my calling comes from automatically to help them. And that fulfills me. And this is where I reconnect to identifying the purpose and I hope my story probably ignite, the thoughts are reflect gilders introspection that reflections in people to relate to them purpose?
Deepak Machado 20:44
Wow, I will thank you for sharing your personal story, I believe it has kindled some kind of fire within the listeners. Now one big challenge that I see with many people with my friends as well, it was with me also, to how to find my purpose. Is there any formula for that? Is there a shortcut for that? or What did you do to find your purpose? Can you share your experiences?
Avil Pinto 21:13
Interesting question. Okay. So people asked, I really started Dubai jobs and what made you start, okay, I'll start with my own experience, the book wherein when I met job seekers are personally one to one for free me nice to sit down, sit with them for like one or two hours. And as to give them the, the understanding of, of having the right mindset, okay, in order to get that, in this 80% is mindset. 20% is your skills actually, predominantly, it's the mindset. And when they understood where they were, where they were going wrong. And when they started changing, they got results. And that gave me full fill meant, at the end of the day, I was happy. I was happy. Now, the simplest form or a formula to identify your purpose is look at the things list on things that you do on a daily basis, and see what makes you the happiest, the most happiest. Okay? When you can cook for your family, and that makes you happy, then cooking is your passion. Naturally, there's no doubt that makes you happy. And then you can identify that element of your life. And then see if by doing that, if you're happy. What if you take it to the world? You share it with the world? If talking keeps you happy, then what are you talking? talk something that can help people in changing their lifestyle or changing their mindset. And that can be your purpose. Right? We speak a lot. But today, speaking is one of the highly paid professions in the world. So when you speak, learn what to speak, and create that you purpose if that keeps you happy. Right. So what I'm trying to say here is identify that element that keeps you happy. build on that if painting makes you happy, and draw paintings that can be one of your professions later that can be customized that can be monetized.Okay, so there are many things that people are doing today, they started purely with keeping them happy. Of course, there are many things may not bring them happiness, but it can make a big difference to the people around us to the society. So that's why people opted out of it to do it. So but if you ask all the all the people who are done extraordinary in life, when you ask them, how to identify purpose, they say that Find your passion. And that passion can make you take you towards that purpose. Yeah, these are the simple tools that I always tell people and I think there is no wrong, harder rocket science to identify oneself, provided that they themselves go deeper and ask, okay, what keeps me happy, and then probably, they can discover.
Deepak Machado 24:44
Yeah, sometimes I also hear people saying, you know, passion, I have passion for something. But then passion, I'm not able to monetize, you're not able to get paid for that. It does passion always pay or does use passion. Is having passion enough to live.
Avil Pinto 25:04
Okay? Now there are two elements to it, some people, okay, live, I want to this is my passion, but I don't want to earn money from it. Okay, so that's one part. The second part is they identify through this passion they can help and so many more people and for the time and expertise that they share, it's okay to charge a fee. Okay? It's, it's okay to, to pay to offer money for it. Now for example, I am a job seeker and I want to write a good CV. And I am somebody who is an extremely passionate CV writing professional. Like that person is so ardent has passion to help jobseekers because that person understands that if a job seeker is not presenting a good CV or a profile to the employer, he may not end up getting shortlisted or finding that job. So that passion of helping the job seeker but that passion has an element to invest the time expertise behind making somebody CV. So it's okay to charge money for that time and service and which is which is how then you can monetize things. Even if you are a cook, let's say if you cook great recipes, you can you can start sharing with the world through your videos or you can have a Facebook group or things like that. And let people know that you you have great recipes and those recipes can make tastiest food and then people will come to you and then they will be even willing to pay you for for your expertise you know, this like Sanjeev Kapoor. Sanjeev Kapoor today is one of the famous, you know, brand in as we see as the in the, in the category of being a Top Chef, or comes with great recipes. Okay.So for me, he is today grown, and brands are investing on him, including the company that I work for, which is rainbow milk, where he is our brand ambassador. So just to let you know that fashion that he had, has created or emerged into a huge monetary gain as well.
Deepak Machado 27:49
Thank you Avil, from what what I heard from you. Purpose usually sounds like an abstract. No word, it's not so clear. Not many people have the clarity of it. And thank you for beautifully putting it in simple words on how to find your purpose. And to the listeners I am going to say is that in the upcoming episodes, we will have different parts of leading self like setting goals, responsibilities, what are your fears, how to overcome them, your habits, and so on. And I'm sure you are as inspired as I am. My intention or our intention is to help you and to inspire you to achieve more success. Join me on this journey to success and Success 10x. Avil any parting words for our listeners?
Avil Pinto 28:47
Yes, this is a great initiative Deepak. And I'm sure it will transform people's lives through individual success stories. The failure stories for me more on when people listen to the failures is more important to understand. Okay, okay, this fellow failed in that and through, still he stepped off, you know, and that's more important to kind of learn and this is where Success 10X will help people. Look out for more episodes because this is when you identify where if you have identified your purpose, then we will take you to the next level which is then setting the goals and mastering those success habits which will take you towards that purpose or to achieve whatever that you intend to achieve in your life. Great Deepak, thank you, thank you, I’m so happy to hear or listen to the way that you have come a long way. Okay, personally, that I’ve known you now, and having this purpose of helping 10,000 people, which is Bravo, and I wish you the best on this, and I’m sure with this initiative of podcast also will touch millions of lives and it will transform. So connecting to those dots, I also have this mission statement thing that I would like to touch at least billions of lives. Okay, billions now, how would I do it through videos, through podcasts, through through my articles and you know, the things that I’m doing on social media through coaching, and, and I’m sure the voice will be heard, because when you have the intent to transform and make a difference to people’s lives, it will reach and, and when I before I started, I was wondering how would How would how to start, but before I come to that, I would like to specifically address this question on identifying the purpose which is so important. See, Mark Twain once said, there are two very important dates in people’s life. Okay. One is the day you’re born. The second is the day you realize why you’re born. And the day when you know why you’re born. So there was a seminar that I was attending, because since I’m aspiring to identify myself, I just kept attending a lot of seminars on personal development, personal growth, anything that related to success or understanding the the growth mindset, I always participated, and I continue to do it. And since then, it’s been just about making difference to people, in whatever ways about happiness, about understanding how I can live a better life, how I can find a dream job, how I can come out of the fear of rejections failures, how I can identify the limiting beliefs that I have everything been happening. And with this, the biggest transformation has happened within myself. That is the beauty of you know, identifying your purpose. Yeah. And, and again, Deepak. It’s not about having big purpose to start with, okay? I just started with the small thought that I want to make a difference one person around me, okay, I can help one person to find a job. And that person found the job, then I learned something, okay, this is the way it is done. And that first step that I took, led to hundreds then now thousands. Now this group is more than 16,000 people. And we have done more than 69 meetups attended by over 2000 find a job seekers with so many success stories, so many testimonials, which I didn’t know, at that point to one the day I started. So, Mahatma Gandhi, he was not aware. To fight for freedom, he had to dedicate 40 years of his life, but the decision that it took was the day one and then it continued. And similarly, I can share so many stories I’ve attended personally the the Missionaries of Charity of mMother Theresa where I got at, at my inspiration from Okay, so without selfless, selfless service. And that’s amazing. I mean, the purpose was simple. I mean, help the poor, help the needy, help those children who are abandoned, and give them shelter, give them food, and this is a simple thought being human. And that led to such great thing that she’s built today across all over India and I think internationally.
Okay. So people asked, I really started Dubai jobs and what made you start, okay, I’ll start with my own experience, the book wherein when I met job seekers are personally one to one for free me nice to sit down, sit with them for like one or two hours. And as to give them the, the understanding of, of having the right mindset, okay, in order to get that, in this 80% is mindset. 20% is your skills actually, predominantly, it’s the mindset. Naturally, there’s no doubt that makes you happy. And then you can identify that element of your life. And then see if by doing that, if you’re happy. Right. So what I’m trying to say here is identify that element that keeps you happy. build on that if painting makes you happy, and draw paintings that can be one of your professions later that can be customized that can be monetized.Okay, so there are many things that people are doing today, they started purely with keeping them happy. Of course, there are many things may not bring them happiness, but it can make a big difference to the people around us to the society. So that’s why people opted out of it to do it.
But then passion, I’m not able to monetize, you’re not able to get paid for that. It does passion always pay or does use passion. Is having passion enough to live.
Avil Pinto 25:04
Okay? Now there are two elements to it, some people, okay, live, I want to this is my passion, but I don’t want to earn money from it. Okay, so that’s one part. The second part is they identify through this passion they can help and so many more people and for the time and expertise that they share, it’s okay to charge a fee. Okay? It’s, it’s okay to, to pay to offer money for it. So it’s okay to charge money for that time and service and which is which is how then you can monetize things. Even if you are a cook, let’s say if you cook great recipes, you can you can start sharing with the world through your videos or you can have a Facebook group or things like that.
