Great. So peak state for success. Yes. Let me start by asking you why we need peak state for success.

Good question. If you see history, and people who have achieved extraordinary results is one common thing that stands out in every person who has achieved extraordinary who have thrived in whatever they do. And that one thing is energy. They had great energy. Now when I say peak is nothing but having that high level of energy. Now what does it mean high level of energy is isn't that talking excitement all the time. Or having you know, when you go to the gym, you get pumped, is that energy, I'm talking about a state of mind, which allows you to have the right focus the right attention. And to drive the driving force within you is so super solid, that you can able to achieve what you desire, or what you want. So this is peak, and the opposite is the lowest state that imagine people with low state who are probably worried people with depression, people with the negative feelings, what happens, you know, they struggle they struggle to achieve thing they struggle, because that's the low state of mind. Okay, so that's what is what I call it peak. And, and I refer to this, but I attended the session with Tony Robbins called unleash the power within recently and and he's been doing this for for ages, and hundreds and thousands of people have attended. And he's influenced millions of people around the world on how to be in peak state and I realized I got the recipe or get the secret formula or a secret recipe for for the peak state. And probably I would share some of some of my learnings from the unleash the power within which was phenomenal. So So that's, that's for me, it's called the peak

Okay. So you said to achieve success, maybe peak state is necessary or that high energy is necessary. Why is peak state important or necessary for success? As an ordinary person, can I not be in the normal pace of life and still achieve whatever I want to achieve in life? Why do I need the peak state I understand where you're coming from the energy that comes within you comes from you and you give out that energy to the people around you also. So they are energized with your presence when you are in high peak or peak energy state? Absolutely. Why would you say peak state or that peak energy state is necessary for success?

Good one. So let's compare a normal day for a person with good energy. Okay, so since I come from a farming background, I'll compare with the farmer. Okay. So every day he wakes up, he goes to the farm, you know, he needs a good amount of energy to to do things during the day. And then whether plowing the fields or doing a lot of the farming work, which requires hard work, okay? Now he also has that energy, right? Imagine if he doesn't have that energy. I'm not saying the physical energy, but energy to do things and, you know, that drives that I want to go to the fields, I want to do this, okay? What happens, if he doesn't have that right, he may not end up going to the fields and him or end up doing things, okay? At the end of the day, he may not have those crops, right. So what he will do instead, maybe he might end up sleeping, he might be end up watching, or just not doing anything feeling, just not to do right anything. Now failing not to do anything where that is failing comes from. So this is where this is a very important quote, which was shared by Tony Robbins, it's a very famous quote that you always quotes where your focus goes, the energy flows, where your focus goes, the energy flows. Now, what does it mean? Is that where you focus, what you focus on, so, your quality of life defined by your absolute quality of your thoughts, okay, your quality of life defined by quality of your thoughts, because thoughts is where it all originates, since I'm practicing NLP coaching, okay. Here also we focus on our thoughts, which is neuro the what all comes from my mind what is condition now, if thoughts are so powerful, that is what creates your feelings, our feelings have feelings can be positive or negative, and depending on that, your energy levels also matters a lot. Right. So, to come back, why peak state is that you have to we have to understand that where is where is our focus? Right. So, if our focus focuses on the right place, then we are able to achieve more results. Okay. So, we are productive on a normal on a normal day with the given all conditions everything is are everything, external internal environment is right, we are able to perform, right? Now imagine when the external environment is not going well, for example, now COVID times these are the real testing times for people. A lot of people's productivity declined, right? A lot of people they they kind of the state of mind was was disrupted or disturbed. Right now, how is the the energy then you were you able to? Were you able to perform at your best? And this is a question. No, I was affected. Okay, for some time, although I had to work extra hours. Right, working from home. I worked on weekends. It was demanding because we had challenges. Now although, I worked extra. But I felt that with the given time that I have, I could have been more productive, I could have been more efficient. Where does this productivity or efficiency comes from is because I was disturbed with my external environment. Because of the challenges because of the news because of people dying, the whole world went into lockdown. Right? So this external environment affected me. Why directed me because of my, my attention, my focus was diverted to those challenges. So that pulled me down of my performance. Right. So that's why it's very important to have the right peak state. So too, you can thrive you can be you can, you can perform more, you can do more, you can walk the extra mile thing you can do so many things. So I can you name some famous personalities who have who have consistently been at a peak state. I would, I would, I would give the example of Tony Robbins itself. Now he's been doing what he's doing. He's the top performing business coach or he, he has Today, more than dozens of companies that that he operates, and he says if he has to run the show, he needs that energy which vibrates around them that positive energy. And in order to be in that peak state, he does certain things on a daily basis, which keeps him on top of the peak state like consistent And so that's why I always look up to him and what he shares, his content, reading his books, watching his videos is phenomenal. Then I have I've been following people like Elon Musk, Jack Ma, Oprah Winfrey, Indra Nooyi, Richard Branson. Now, when I look at these personalities, everyone in common have good energy levels, right? And this is why people who achieve more, they consistently do repeatedly do certain things, where they become great at it, but they operate at a peak state.

Yeah, great examples of will. I think at some level you are here hinting at motivation also is your Peak State is motivation also, can 10 motivation be tied to the peak state? Because you hinted at, you know, it should come from within, but yes, also affected by external events that happen around us, which can drain our energy levels sometimes. So thinking too much about the news, the external event that happened in the past few months. I remember, one, I mean, especially with news, I've given up on any news these days, because most of it is negative. And I think Naval Ravikant, who is a great greatest one of the great entrepreneurs, he said, the the, the goal of the news news channels is to make the problems of the world your problems. So this is a very good understanding. So once I understood that, they don't have your best intentions in mind, they have their best intentions. So avoid all the news channels, that's that give out always stressful negative information. So you will remain positive with your own inner state, I just want to come back to what I said with motivation also plays a lot plays a part in the energy of the person

it does, motivation does not last long. It is like a balloon, you get pumped and then it one, one pinch, and then it is ......gone. Or motivation, rather, I would say it's like taking but you take baths, you are fresh, you feel good. And after that this everyday had to take. So whatever is it works that way you feel good for for some time, it can last for 24 hours or maximum for a week depends on how you, you know, follow what you what you kind of how you got motivated. For me, I think inspiration works. Okay, so you are inspired. Okay, you're inspired within. And that's why it is super important. Nowadays, people who look at hiring candidates, one of the things is you should be self motivated. Don't expect us to motivate you after you join work, but you got to be self motivated. What does that mean? Is that you have to be in the peak state. Right in another way. Right. And so, to answer your question, does motivation also relates to peak state? Is that motivation just gives you that momentum for for some time, right? But if you have to be in continuously peak state consistently, then you have to be sure of who you are, what's your outcome, your reason of existence? And what do you want, what you're gaining out of what you're doing. And these are the things I think are super important, and we have discussed this in a previous episodes, okay, identifying purpose, having goals, etc, etc. So, it goes back to where we started, basically, to be in the peak state, why do I want to be in the peak state what what I want to achieve? Right? Now, if I don't achieve, how, what difference it makes to me?And these questions when I when we ask ourselves a question kind of asked you that, okay, now I want to achieve this. Now, what kind of energy level that I should have? How should we my physiology, how should be myenergy levels? So this is introspection. More of?

Yeah, yeah, you're right. So getting into the next level. So how do I achieve a peak state? Let's say I'm a normal energy guy. Right? do normal work? Yeah, normal job. So I want to go to the next level. Do you have any suggestions to how to achieve that peak state or, or do you have any regular exercises that you do or you saw other people doing who have high energy or only practices in life that you do that keeps you at the peak of your energy state. You have any?

Yes, yes, indeed.Yes, indeed. See, I have, I have 24 hours... everyone in common have 24 us, okay. But within the 24 hours what you do it matters.So there is a book that I followed for rigorously for almost a couple of months, and then I dropped, okay, I dropped practicing that, let me be very honest, it's called Spear of Silence. So you give one hour a day one, okay, that will allow you to control the rest 23 hours of your day, one hour for yourself. Okay, either early in the morning, as the sun rises, use us start doing these activities. What are these activities, starting with gratitude, affirmations, reading something, watching something that can educate you, that can give you some bit of more knowledge. And then meditation. So these are the things this is meditation, there are different forms of meditation, it is breathing meditation, there is a moving meditation, many, many, many varieties that that are involved in meditation. So what fits you best you could do. And we've spoken about meditation in the past episodes as well. Now, these four things fundamentally can change your state of mind. Okay, the way you see things, your perspective will change. Your focus will change accordingly, you will then have the right energy levels in your body. Okay. I did, I did have a great energy because every morning at let's say, 6am, I wake up, and then I write my gratitude, what I'm grateful for 10 things, my affirmations, what am affirmations, the affirmations, which would help me cement my thoughts towards who I want to be? What I desired to achieve. Okay. So for example, if I would like to be a great public speaker, then I can be telling myself that, okay, I don't know to speak, I don't know, I have this fear of judgment. I can't speak in in front of too many people. Now you see my language, what I'm speaking, everything is negative. I can't, I don't have I don't, I don't, I can't, this negativity will not help me to be in the good state. Okay. So I have to be mindful about what I speak to myself, which is self talk. So affirmations will help you to change the perspective. For example, if I tell myself, I am a world class public speaker, I am a world class public speaker. Now imagine if I write it every single day, 365 days, I'm affirming myself that I'm a world class public speaker. So what does it do? It gives you that change in thought change in focus. And that focus changed, the energy changed. Okay, so there are a set of upon affirmations that I have referred from different sources books. And, and from our friend, Google google.com. Okay, he's my best friend, by the way. You asked him what you do, but the problem is, he gives so much that then it takes time for us to differentiate what is the right thing for me, so that's, that's become a challenge today in the internet age. Okay, so that's coming back to affirmations. And affirmations is really it kind of thrills me when I write Okay, and and then comes so I spoke about gratitude, affirmation, and listening to music. Again, listening to music gives you a real quick real kick. No matter who you are, where you are, just play music. It will it naturally there's a science behind the music can uplift you. Okay, but depends on what kind of music you're listening to. Okay, is it a bit music? Is it Happy, Happy tunes. So there as actives also, some people might get more emotional with, with with sad deals, so it got to be mindful about when you listen to the music, and finally, reading something, or watching to watching video or even listening to podcasts like this, you know, that can change your energy levels. So these are the few things which which I've been practicing, which are rigorously practiced for almost six months, and then I stopped, then I continue only doing gratitude and affirmation, gratitude and affirmation is become my DNA now it's become daily part of my life, I cannot live without doing it. Right, either I do it before I will go to sleep or early morning, as I wake up, I start my day with gratitude and affirmation. And this sets my day, right. So along with that, I have added on to write the to do list, which I call it my magic list, right? Writing exactly what I want. So I know in 24 hours, these are the things that I would like to do, right. And magically, it can be the day 24 hours, what you want to do, then a weekly plan than monthly plan. So these are the things so what you want to do over a period of, you know, a month or three months, so that sets your focus to the things that you want to do. Okay, that then you don't want to do and, and this is how you, you elevate yourself. Okay? And when you keep, when you're right, have the right focus on you know exactly what you want to do, then automatically the energy kicks in. Okay, so these are the few things and beyond that. It has always connecting dots. So when you when you're reading something new when you're watching, it absolutely helps you develop your own self, okay? You have more knowledge. And when you have more knowledge, you're automatically your confidence will, will increase, you'll improve. So that's, that connects towhat I call it, like you have to raise your standards on a daily basis. Right? When I look into the mirror, am I the best version of myself? am I different than yesterday? So that you don't have to compare with anybody else? Okay, you don't have to compare with umpah knees or Tatas or anyone, you just have to compare yourself you asking? Am I better than yesterday? Okay, so the biggest competition is you. So earlier, I used to compete with people. Right? Okay, he's doing that, Oh, my God, I even I need to learn. And then I realized that I'm trying to imitate stuff, right. So later, I change it to compensate myself. Am I better than yesterday? As long as I'm a better than yesterday? Am I am getting better in life. And that keeps me in good peak state.

Yeah, this is a point brought me one very important book I read called Atomic Habits by James Clear. Yes, there is a good concept that he says, you don't have to drastically improve everyday. Okay. You have to improve 1% everyday, not 10%, not 20% 1%. So end of the year, the cumulative increase will be more than like, around 40%. So year on year you're getting 40% better. Absolutely. This is why it leaves. I remember when you said about this,

Totally agree. The thanks for being that atomic habits I have not read. But I have heard about it, I have read a summary of what the book is about. It's very important to focus on those small things, which can, you know, at the end, give you that, that amazing results. For example, now I can go to the gym in one day, or one week or a month and expect a great shift in my muscles size and shape. Right? It has to be a consistent effort. So every day imagine you woke up for half an hour and 30 minutes, or 30 minutes if you do a bit every single day. That's where you will get massive results or a period of time if you are consistently doing it. And I think that's what is is about developing those small little habits that can change the course of your direction.

Yes, so people Yeah, one of the things I was also reading was book on Elon Musk. And, you know, it's so basic for him to get into peak state. I mean, good. I'm in a good rest. In the night. I'm in good sleep. Yes. And he says the best idea that he generates for whether it is new technology or SpaceX or Tesla, he says showering, with a good shower puts him in a very peak state. So it doesn't have to be something very drastic change in your life. Look for small things that make you happy and that will I think, give you a I will connect question I want to ask you is I believe the peak state It differs from person to person. Do you agree to that? Absolutely. It is different from you. Your eye flow state is different from you. So how do I know that I'm in a peak state? Okay, do I, I know that I have that energy level, how do I introspect myself and say, okay, today I am, today? Is this level or more around increase? 1%? How do I introspect? On my energy levels?

I think it's all about your feeding. Okay. How are you feeling? Right? When you ask this question? How are you feeling? Right? If you're feeling great, then you're in good energy? Right? So absolutely, it's about being honest to yourself, right? For sometimes, sometimes when I'm not in a good state, which is low state, I admit myself, I'm not in the right state of mind, what should I do? So shift your focus shift immediately, right. So at that 7am, on low state, it could be it could be a challenge that I'm facing, for example, when I am, when my children probably are unwell, and after ask them to hospital, and then we're waiting for like, two hours to meet the doctor and complete the formalities of, you know, I'm like, Oh, it's like you're sitting in that clinic or hospital, not in that state of mind. Okay. So that's, for me, the low state. But yet when I'm there, I tried to feel that okay, things will be normal things will be okay. That I should allow myself to be okay. If I feel restless, if I feel anxious, then I am not allowing to be in the peak state. So, being in peak state, or being in low state is the is is subject to where my focus is. Okay. So that's why everyone, whoever is listening here, just ask yourself, what is the state of mind right now you have? Are you feeling good? Or do you want to, to be great? Are you better Are you want to be best and so on? And you ask yourself, the universe will direct you to be to get into the state of mind that you want. If you keep continuously telling him say, I don't keep Well, I feel tired. So obviously, you are drowning youself in low state. Okay, what do you see yourself? I'm energetic. I have all the resources to do what I want to do. And then you see the energy, you know, gets into, it's like adrenaline rush. You, you are pumped to do things.

Somebody I think, another tip that I can give I think we talked about it in the past that Yeah. Somebody is feeling low, I think the best thing to do is listen to music and dance. Yeah, good music. So does dance help. I mean, you attend UPW? I think that I think is one of the best ways to put yourself in that high energy state and you will do well for yourself behind the thoughts.

Exactly. Yeah, absolutely. I love it. Unleash the Power Within as a party for me for days, you from beginning to the end it dance, okay, every 20 minutes or 30 minutes, you know, you they just play the music so that you are upbeat, you feel so good. Because the body is we are conditioned to move. You know, movement builds energy. Just moment that you go for a walk you feel fresh at the moment is important. So dancing is by far the quickest form to raise your energy. You just play the music and you dance. So yesterday we got home around 11 o'clock, we went for shopping and we walked a lot and obviously, legs were painting and we me and my wife feeling a bit tired. But after we came home, I started moving I started dancing, there's no music. I just started dancing and my wife looked at me said what are you doing? I said I am dancing.... then then then I had to give her reason. I said it's 14 nine the UAE national day so celebrate. Okay, so then we had this small flags of UAE which children took for to the school. So I held those two flags in my hand and I started dancing. Okay. So thanking our amazing UAE. Right, which has given us amazing opportunities. So, so that that was amazing, right? So within within 30 seconds or a minute, my physiology changed when I say physiology, the, the absolute feeling, okay, of of my, the way I'm behaving, and the focus the thinking it shifted and everything else shifted. Yeah. So dancing does help. I can go on about dancing, because dancing has become one of the things to to raise energy levels. Thank you.

Avil so we spoke about to reach the peak level, we spoke about you said affirmations, gratitude journaling, reading, music, dance, and so on. So do you have any last or final parting words before we end this episode?

Yes. One of the things which I learned from Tony Robbins is how to continuously have when to be on peak state and he showed us a 10 minutes 10 minute activity exercise a small activity, but then it can shift your focus it can elevate your life to another level. So it's called priming. Okay. So for all the audience who are listening, go to YouTube, it's called Tony Robbins priming, okay, when you when you play that, when you search for it will show up on YouTube, and do this priming activity. And you will realize, okay, what you've been missing in life. So it's a basic activity where you lift your hands up, and that three sets into 30. And then you get into the gratitude zone. And one thing which which I never did, which I learned from Tony Robbins was spread love, give love, share peace. And this was something which which some, which I was not aware of, which I started practicing now. Okay, what I do is for all the people, probably people who challenged you people who, who you got upset with, okay. And that Unforgiven mine that you're holding, it becomes a, like a baggage. And Unforgiven mind holds a lot of things, which can be more than cancer cells for you. So you got to be careful. So you have to let go. And how would you let go? send peace. Okay, send love, share it, share love. And, and when you do that, you will feel peaceful within and that changes your changes, entire energy levels. Believe me it this is one of the greatest things that have happened. No, because when you think of somebody that you are trying to, oh, he's that way he did this to me because of him. My life is like this. And you keep venting it, you keep talking about it. And and that will not help you. You know, get into that state of mind. So send them love. Okay, send them love, send them peace. And then you see the magic that happens within you. So, so it's another way to say I forgive you. But sometimes it's very difficult, right? To forgive people, but send them love. Okay, whatever you have done probably done with a good intent. No, no one to judge you. Okay, maybe I learned a lesson from some that experience or situation and I'm grateful. I'm thankful. So when you do this, I think it's amazing. Yeah. So priming, do it. It's amazing.
